MARK ALMER
Mark is a founding member (2004) of the Grizzly Flats Fire Safe Council. His first term as Chair was from 2007-2017. Over his twenty years on the Council, he has served on every position (Chair, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Secretary Pro-Tem & Treasurer) on the Executive Board. He started his second term as Chair in 2019. Mark has also served on the Grants and Public Education Committees. He also serves as the Firewise Communities Coordinator (Grizzly Flats became a Firewise Community in 2007). Mark is also the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator; which involves coordinating the biennial Wildland Fire Table Top Exercise that brings over twenty different public service and governmental agencies together for a mock wildland fire that occurs in the Grizzly Flats area.
